Before completely losing his mind and battling windmills, young Don Quixote took on the pinwheels in his backyard, along with his teddybear sidekick, Sancho.

Ewww...that image is horrible.

Here is a better quality image, if you're interested.

If you aren't familiar with Don Quixote, you may not get this reference. Even if you are familiar with him, you may not get it.

This is adorable.
One small detail: The three shadows (especially the one on the larger pinwheel) go in three different directions.

Donnie is the only one casting a shadow...the light source is behind him, so the pinwheels are not casting shadows.

nice Don Quixote rendition.

I'm a little bit bothered that the boy's shadow is falling towards the viewer while the spiner's shadow is falling away from us.

The pinwheels aren't casting a shadow. The shadow on the right, behind the pinwheel, is the shadow of the boys sword, and the one on the left, is of his horsey.
